The Air Filter is a very  important part in order to obtain the best engine  performance. Hidden into a box is often overlooked, it plays a fundamental role and if it is not replaced regularly the engine performance and fuel  consumption can seriously deteriorate.   

Pipercross Performance Air Filters, is used by leading race teams, Pipercross is now the Champions choice, manufactured in multi laminated open cell patented reticulated polyurethane foam. Vortex designed surface area will absorb large amounts of airborne dirt particles, while still allowing air to flow freely. Inner layer/red foam matrix continues to retain finer dirt particles, so offering maximum engine protection.The layers of foam contains pores of differing sizes, with larger dust dust particles trapped in the outer layer,medium particles at the next layer and so on,

through to a final layer that traps particles as small as five microns.PIPERCROSS filters give outstanding performance over the life of the filter compared  with the leading American cotton gauze products.Pleated cotton gauze filter filters, by comaprison, have to be regularly cleaned to achieve the same life as a maintenance free foam filter.

 

Air Induction Kits have uniquely designed air filter in let, manufactured from a spun aluminium base, which incorporates a full radius air inlet bell mouth, allowing air to smoothly pass into the engine inlet, so maximising engine performance output.

Example of installation of Universal Direct Air Filter on an engine which has the Air in-let on backside  with consequent problem of breathing hot air instead of cold air.To avoid this problem we installed a cold air tube which takes cold air from front grill and pushes towards the Filter.In this way the engine can breathe enough Cold air to give best performance. On top it can be seen the installation of crank case vent Filter which enables the engine block to breathe, expelling contaminated oil/air mixture.
